John Laxon established Laxon Lex in 2013 and has been practising law since 1987. These days John’s focus is mainly in media related employment law, complex white collar crime and commercial litigation. John is admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Courts of Queensland and NSW, and in all Australian Federal jurisdictions.

Sam Harvery
Sam Harvery is a senior associate practising in civil and commercial litigation, with a particular interest in employment and defamation law disputes. As an experienced and skilled employment lawyer, Sam advises and acts for both employees and employers from a variety of different industries, in all State and Federal jurisdictions.
Sam is a thorough and tactical litigator and advocate, a lateral thinker who works to quickly obtain the best possible outcomes for his clients. Sam holds both a Bachelor of Laws and Master of Laws from the University of Sydney.

Taylor Goodrum
Taylor has been with Laxon Lex since August 2017, and was admitted as a solicitor in 2021. Taylor is experienced in supporting counsel through complex criminal matters and assisting in various types of civil disputes with a particular focus on employment law, including litigated matters.
Taylor holds a Bachelor of International Studies and Bachelor of Laws from Macquarie University.

Tom Kennedy
Tom joined Laxon Lex as a paralegal in 2020 and supports the team in civil litigation and employment-related matters. Tom takes a meticulous approach to litigation, performing comprehensive legal research to ensure that the team is fully prepared for even the most complex of cases. Tom is studying a Bachelor of Laws and Economics at UNSW and will graduate in 2023. Tom is currently President of the UNSW Student Representative Council.

Scarlett de Vine
Scarlett joined Laxon Lex as a paralegal in 2022, and assists the team in civil, employment and criminal matters. Scarlett takes a considered and highly professional approach in researching various areas of law, and preparing for all conciliation, mediation and court matters.
Scarlett is currently in her third year of a Bachelor of Laws and Politics, Philosophy and Economics at the University of New South Wales.
